03 — Empty and secure moving parts
Empty drawers where appropriate, secure doors and moving parts, and keep labelled fittings or fasteners together for reassembly.
04 — Request suitable protective wrapping
Identify finishes, glass, corners and surfaces that may need blankets, wrap or other protection when the move is being scoped.

Questions about moving guide
Have a specific question about your upcoming move? Contact our team during the published business hours.
Which measurements matter for large furniture?
Record the piece's dimensions and the narrowest doorways, stair turns, corridors and lift openings at both addresses. Include the carry path and loading position so HF can review the access.
Should I dismantle furniture before moving day?
Discuss each piece with HF first and agree who will do the work. If dismantling is agreed, label the parts and keep fasteners together for reassembly; do not assume it is included without confirming the scope.
